Chief Executive Officer
Walter received his Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. He moved to the Dothan area in 1986 and was named Chief Executive Officer of the Wiregrass United Way in April of 2003. In 2012 and 2013 he served as President of the United Ways of Alabama, the state association of all of the United Way organizations in the state. Over the years, Walter has been active in a number of civic and community organizations. In 2014-15, he served as President of the Dothan Rotary Club. In his spare time he volunteers with the Miss Alabama Pageant and is currently serving as producer. He and his wife Melanie are active members of First Baptist Church.
